With Christmas fast approaching it only seems right that we show you how to make some gorgeous festive cupcakes to wow your guests!
What you will need:
- Rolling Pin
- Tooth Pick
- White Sugarpaste
- Red Flower Paste
- Bow Cutter (we use the Jem bow cutter that comes in a set of three)
- Circle Cutter
- Edible Glue
- Paint Brush
- Pizza Wheel
Roll out the red flower paste (quite thin) and use the bow cutter to cut out 1 bow.
Use the tooth pick to help release the flower paste from the bow cutter. Use edible glue to stick the tails on top of one another with a small gap between the two. Place the loops and centre piece of the bow upside down on your surface. Use edible glue in the middle of the loops and bring both sides into the middle forming a bow. Put edible glue in the middle of the centre piece and lift your bow onto it, securing the centre piece around your bow. Flip your bow over and use edible glue to attach it to the tails.
Roll out the red flower paste and using your pizza wheel cut 2 long thin strips.
Roll out the white sugarpaste (keeping it quite thick) and cut out a circle using the cutter. Pipe some buttercream in the middle of the cupcake & place the white disc on top. Flatten slightly with your hand and then use your fingers to gently bring the sides down. *Top Tip Do not use your finger tips as you will make dents in the dome.* Use edible clue to stick on the 2 long strips & cut to size with the pizza wheel.
Lastly, stick the bow in the centre of the cupcake using edible glue
Happy festive baking everyone!
